We are honored to participate in the 2014 John Hancock Boston Marathon Non-Profit Program! Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP) is fueling the movement to expand quality mentoring for youth to meet the needs of communities across Massachusetts. MMP serves more than 200 mentoring programs statewide supporting over 30,000 youth in mentoring relationships. Our goal is to help even more youth realize their potentials through quality mentoring relationships, and to ultimately strengthen our communities.
We have an incredible team of 12 athletes, including six runners who were unable to cross the finish line at the 2013 Boston Marathon. We are so grateful to have them all back on Team MMP as runners and champions of the youth we work with; and are very excited to support everyone in this special marathon and see them all the way to the finish.
MMP works to position mentoring as a viable pathway to success and healthy development, and to combat issues youth face such as academic achievement, delinquency, social and family relationships, job readiness, and more. Our services include training and technical assistance for mentoring programs, targeted strategy development, advocacy and public awareness campaigns, mentor-mentee match activities, research and resource delivery, and more.
Support the cause and donate to our team today! Your gift will have a direct impact on both the runners and the thousands of youth we support statewide.
