Hi, I go to schools and provide preventive dental care and find dental homes for children without dental insurance and those children on Medicaid around Washington State. There is a shortage of dentists who will see these children and they often go by the wayside. Many of the children I see have never seen a dentist before so I am one of their first dental visits. As of now I travel with my portable equiptment in my car along with other "moms" to schools with high free and reduced lunch percentages. Due to the overcrowding that is becoming rampant in Washington schools it is difficult for the schools to provide space for me to set up equiptment. Before we set up in a spare room or stage but now those spaces are being utilized. As expected , it is hard to budget a mobile van or r.v. into the plan. I would be forever grateful if I could get mobile access for these kids. Anything would be appreciated. I would also have to provide gas which is an added expense that I will have to figure into the budget. Any extra money will be used to help provide dental care for those children whose parents do not have dental insurance. Many of these children are in chronic pain with their teeth and have trouble concentrating and striving in school. With your help we can give these children something to smile about .
