Mom VS Cancer Valorie's battle with cervical cancer
Organized by: Tyler Andrews
On April 7th our world got turned upside down, our family learned my wife had cervical cancer. My wife Valorie is a great mother and companion. She had been trying for over a year to get a desperately needed hysterectomy. The insurance company just saw her as a statistic, a number. She is not a number. She is a humanitarian, she has always led the charge for charitable groups at her past employment. She will take folks dinner who need help or are down. She is a devoted mom and wonderful wife, always planning fun activities for our family and being that driving force. In March my wife started hemorrhaging and lost so much blood she required 4 blood transfusions . She had an emergency hysterectomy and when the pathology report came back we were told she has cancer. We were devastated at first, but of course Valorie and her fighting spirit helped us overcome the fears. She is currently being treated at the Huntsman Cancer institute in Salt Lake City and is in good hands. Valorie has stage 2B rare cervical cancer caused genetics. My wife will require 2 more surgeries after her chemotherapy and radiation are done. We need help funding her surgeries and recovery. Recently we found out her cancer had spread to her intestines We are grateful for the prayers and continued support from friends and family. Any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you the Andrews clan.
