Momma Pallaghy desperately NEEDS a car!
Organized by: Melissa Lucciola
EVENT DATE Dec 28, 2015
My 62-year old mother drives a 2000 Ford Contour SE Sport. Ever heard of it? Probably not, because they stopped making them only a few years after they came out. My mom says it's a "special edition hunk of _____." She is using this vehicle to drive herself to school, work, other work, another work, church and to bring her 83 year old retired husband (recently inducted into the Fencing Hall of Fame!) to town to run errands. She is taking care of most of the household bills and working as a deli clerk, a substitute and a real estate agent to try and keep up. Here's the deal with her car: The key is broken in two pieces, it's missing a few gears now and she has to hold the trunk up with a bottle of coolant so it doesn't slam down. One mechanic told her to be careful going over bumps because the bottom might literally fall off. It's pretty funny but also a serious thing, the mileage is reaching 200,000 and throughout the year in faithful attempts to repair it she emptied her funds. She really needs another car to get to school and work and could really use help from the community to accomplish this as she is trying to save her house from going to auction next month and just pay the bills. Every dollar helps and a small donation from a relatively small amount of people can go really far and is so very much appreciated!
Any exceeding donations will be used to get the car on the road, car insurance, or other immediate bills relating to her home.
Here is the vehicle I picked out that she likes too ~ http://soundmotors.com/1998-Nissan-Sentra/Used-Car/Branchville-NJ/6821243/Details.aspx
She has no idea this is happening and I would love to relieve some stress for her and her car situation. Thank you for all the love! Her daughter, Melissa Lucciola
**If you cannot donate at this time feel free to share with friends and family to get the word out!
