Second Annual Hearts for ALS Walk
Saturday, May 16, 2015
Town Square Park
41717 Juniper st
Walk starts at 10am
Hearts for ALS, Inc., helps provide for the needs of the people who have ALS in the Inland Empire and surrounding areas. The prolonged, chronic nature of this disease depletes family resources, which creates severe financial hardships. For newly diagnosed patients we provide a “Hope Bag,” which is filled with resource information to help educate them on what ALS is and what businesses and organizations are available for them to utilize. We also provide a service called “Memory Makers” for the patients. Memory Makers is a one-time gift request for the patient to fulfill a wish. Some of the items that we have done in the past are family portraits or a trip to their favorite location. The Memory Makers gift allows patients an opportunity to do something special with the ones they love that they may not have done otherwise. The gift brings joy to the patient, and lasts a lifetime for the family.
