Help the Monmouth Council, serving over 8,000 youth in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties, New Jersey add a new program pavilion at Quail Hill Scout Reservation in Manalapan, NJ in honor and remembrance of a recently fallen dedicated scouting volunteer.
Quail Hill Scout Reservation is a beautiful parcel of land in Manalapan, NJ and has been serving youth citizenship programs through the Monmouth Council Boy Scouts since 1967. As the surrounding areas continued to be developed, Quail Hill has become an oasis of outdoor recreation and environmental conservation. Quail Hill plans to build a new program pavilion that would accommodate training courses, meals for campers, picnics for scout units, and other outdoor recreation in conjunction with camping operations at Quail Hill. Preliminary plans include a concrete slab, green aluminum roof, and enough space for 15 picnic tables.
Quail Hill plans to commemorate the new program pavilion in honor of Bill Bishop, a dedicated scouting volunteer, who passed away unexpectedly in 2016. Bill spent more weekends at Quail Hill than could be counted and had served dutifully to better Quail Hill and the programs offered to young people through the Monmouth Council Boy Scouts in his life.
