Let’s protect beautiful coastal Louisiana from disaster. Pointe-aux-Chenes Wildlife Management Area in Montegut, Louisiana needs 10,000 trees to restore 100 acres of historic bald cypress forest which are used to protect the nearby coastal communities.
The Pointe-aux-Chenes Wildlife Management Area provides a home for wetland animals, migration and wintering space for waterfowl, and nursery habitat for crabs, fish, and shrimp. But as the land gets further degraded, this ecosystem is under threat.
By joining Groundswell and supporting this site today, you help to restore this historic habitat and preserve the marshland habitat and recreational space. When you donate, you will also create an island of protective marsh between Louisiana’s coastal communities and the Gulf of Mexico, protecting the Terrebonne and Lafourche Parish for years to come.
Invest in the future. Be part of the Groundswell.
