In the small Peruvian town of Andahuaylillas, 10,000 feet above sea level, is the sixteenth-century Church of San Pedro Apóstol, considered the "Sistine Chapel of the Andes" because of the beauty of its mural paintings. WMF is working to conserve the church's sanctuary, mural paintings, and artesonado ceilings, and we have implemented a youth training program in conjunction with the conservation program.
