The 2013 Moon Over My Hammies team includes: Dan Hooks, Rich Cohen, Jeff Hooks, Joel Wilson, Ryan Larsen, Megaaan Pitcavage, Sara Shaughnessy, Allegra Shum, Justin DeWolfe, Han Chen, Javier del Castillo, and Dan Cullum.
On May 4th and 5th our team will be participating in The Golden Gate Relay, a 194-mile relay race beginning in wine country and ending near Santa Cruz, CA. The Golden Gate Relay is the largest event in the world promoting organ donation. Our team of 12 runners will spend over 24 hours on the road completing this race, running through 36 Northern California cities and across the Golden Gate Bridge.
We are raising money to support a charity called Organs 'R' Us, which promotes the need for organ donors. Though this may sound like the name of a fake charity made up by a 12 year-old, I assure you that it is just as serious as not having an organ. You really need most of those, and this charity needs your support!
Please pledge your support for the 100,000 Americans (including 15,000 children) waiting for organs. This is the 9th consecutive year that Moon Over My Hammies has participated in The Relay. Over the past years, we have raised over $9,000 for this cause, and are hoping to raise an additional $1,800 this year.
Thank you for your support and generosity! Your contributions go to a great (tax-deductible) cause, and help us take part in this event!
