Who are we? The Auxiliary is a state and nationally chartered organization that is committed to supporting our officers, their families and the community. Our focus is on the support of the FOP, all law enforcement officers, and their families through aiding beneficial legislation, providing programs that inform and educate and through simply caring about each other. We are there to celebrate the happy times. We are there to lend a helping hand when one of us stumbles. Together we are there when one of us falls to say, we will “Never let you walk alone.” Why are we different? No one knows better of the tribulations of a police officer than their families. We support police activities and functions to adopt causes and activities that support the community as a whole. We network with other state and local auxiliaries for ideas on new programs and different forms of assistance to help one another or maybe just come together as friends. We act as a vital link between police officers and the community. The Auxiliary can lend so much to the FOP and the community. What do we do? Our Auxiliary proudly supports the men and women in our community as well as throughout the state when needed. Our two major projects each year are to adopt children through the Department of Child Services who may not get a Christmas or who may be in need of a coat, hat and gloves and make sure they receive something during the holidays. We have grown this from our first year of only being able to do ten to now adopting twenty children. We also help support and shop with the Christmas with a Cop Program in Morgan County. This is a wonderful morning spent with children shopping with officers in uniform.
