Morgan Stanley has designated the High Water Women 2016 Backpack Drive as a featured charitable event in support of its June Global Volunteer Month. The High Water Women Backpack Drive helps thousands of children in need start the school year ready to learn. In 2015, High Water Women provided 18,500 children with fully-supplied backpacks with the help of more than 2000 donors and volunteers. Demand for backpacks gets bigger every year.
In support of the HWW 2016 Backpack Drive, Morgan Stanley will be hosting an on-site backpack assembly event at its 1290 Avenue of the Americas NYC location in June during the Morgan Stanley Global Volunteer Month. Our goal is to raise $12,500 by May 23rd to purchase the school supplies needed to assemble 500 backpacks at our June Assembly Event. Each $25 donation will fund a backpack filled with grade-appropriate school supplies that will be assembled at our Assembly Event. This is a great opportunity for Morgan Stanley employees to participate in community outreach by making a donation and joining our team to help us reach our goals.
We have been paired with Partnership With Children (PWC), a non-profit organization that works with at-risk children to help them succeed in school, in society and in life. Children served by PWC come from some of the most under-resourced communities of NYC. All assembled backpacks from our Assembly Event will be given to Partnership With Children.
Morgan Stanley's goal is to assemble 500 backpacks and raise $12,500. Please donate and consider joining our team. Thanks for your support and help in reaching our goal!
For donations of $1,000 or more, please donate directly through the High Water Women website at www.highwaterwomen.org.
