The new school year offers the promise of many things: new opportunities, new adventures, new friends, and good things to come. It's always exciting to start the new school year with a new backpack and fresh, new supplies. It provides a sense of new promises and a good feeling. Unfortunately, there are many children who do not have this experience. It is my love of working with these children and my desire to honor a very special little girl, Miss Morgan Brodwin, that I have decided to embark on this journey to provide as many children as possible with a new promise. The promise of good things to come, all through a new backpack filled with new supplies. I know firsthand how much these children appreciate the slightest gift. It brings such joy to see the smile these gifts bring to their faces.
Morgan Brodwin was a very delicious little girl. We first met at a music class I had attended with my son Jake. I quickly befriended her parents, they are incredible people. Morgan had special needs. She was always happy and loved to play, dance and hug. She would greet everyone with a big smile. She was a loving big sister. Tragedy struck, and sadly Morgan (12 yrs old) passed in her sleep last September. I would like to honor her with this fundraiser. The organization, operation backpacks, provides new backpacks to children in NYC shelters who can't afford to purchase supplies and such. In honor of Morgans memory, I am hoping to raise funds and collect supplies for as many children as possible.
There are two different ways to contribute. If you would like to donate a backpack and/or supplies please feel free to drop off at my home any evening. I would like to try to assemble as many as I can before I hand them over. Or, if you would like to contribute a monetary gift, just click on the red button to the right and enter your information. Either way, I thank you with all of my heart for your love and support.
Thank you for helping take Morgan's packs "to infinity and beyond."
