EVENT DATE: Oct 04, 2014
Thank you for visiting this page.
Given that we want for little in material terms, we have decided against a wedding registry. Instead, we hope that you might consider making a donation to help the work of two charities.
We have reason to smile everyday, and particularly on our Big Day on 4 October 2014. We would like to give that same opportunity to children around the world, who are in need of a life-changing operation.
Operation Smile is an international children’s medical charity, working with a team of dedicated medical professionals who provide safe, effective reconstructive surgery for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate.
Someone in our family had this very important surgery: we know the difference that it has made to his young life.
We are also keenly aware of the devastation that followed the earthquake and tsunami in Japan in 2011. In the aftermath, rebuilding a region, a town, a home is both time consuming and an overwhelming responsibility. Many of the regions are still rebuilding and in need of help. As you may have seen, local people have not asked for help, as they consider having survived is already a blessing compared to their neighbors who perished. In 2011, Mori raised over $10,000 for Peace Winds and their programmes in Japan. We would like to help them with the ongoing challenges that they face.
Your donation, no matter how small, would be appreciated by these charities. You may select one or both, as you donate.
With much love and a big smile,
Mori and Geraint
