Mountain View Eco Farm farm house and accomodation
Organized by: Benjamin Humphrey
EVENT DATE Sep 29, 2016
As most of you would know, Govinda has been renting the land and house which is the current site of Mountain View Eco Farm (MVEF). The house he is renting was structurally damaged in the 2015 earthquake, making it unsafe to live in. Since then, Govinda and his family have been living in a makeshift structure adjoining the damaged house. At the beginning of this year, Govinda managed to buy his own piece of land not far from the current site of MVEF, but he needs financial assistance to build a house and on farm accomodation for his family, volunteers, and Nepalese farmers and school groups who will one day visit the farm for training and inspiration. This is the last step in helping Govinda to spread sustainable, organic agricultural practices in Nepal, and to demonstrate to the younger generations that they don't have to leave Nepal to make a dignified living. On a more practical note, the funds raised from this campaign will also provide Govinda's family, volunteers, farmers and school groups a safe and appropriate place to live and stay.
