This Movember 2nd, I will be running my first marathon. I will be taking on all five boroughs of New York City in my quest to move myself from point A on Staten Island to point B in Central Park 26.2 miles away.
Because I can. Or at least I'd like to think I can. Come back Movember 3rd to find out if I was right.
I started trying to run in April 2013 as part of a deal I had to lose weight if he would get a colonoscopy. I lost the weight and he is still making 1000 excuses as to why he hasn't gone yet. So now I'm going to run 26.2 miles, even though he doesn't want me to, and he still probably won't go get that colonoscopy.
Now, I know I can't make him get that colonoscopy (though I tried, and even entered him in a contest to win a free one, yes, it was a thing...) and I can't grow a mustache, but I can raise some money for Men's health, so that is what I will do while I drag my butt through the streets of New York CIty!

The Movember Athletics Club will once again be back to run the famed TCS NYC Marathon.
The Movember Foundation is the leading global organization committed to changing the face of men’s health.
The Movember community has raised over $550 million to date and is currently funding over 800 year round programs in 21 countries. This work is saving and improving the lives of men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.
The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow moustaches during Movember (formerly known as November), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for its men’s health programs. To date, 4 million moustaches have been grown worldwide, but we won't stop growing as long as serious men’s health issues exist.
