Movin' on out, to the Quiet Side
Organized by: Danyette Robinson
Can you imagine EVERY night you get ready for bed. You make sure all windows and doors are locked. You shower, pamper, and wrap yourself up in your warm blankets and lay your head to your pillow with sweet dreams in mind.. Ahhhh so calming.. then...wait for it....BOOM, BOOM, BAM, BAM, THUMP, THUMP, STOMP, STOMP ON TWO FEET FLAT LIKE THE EASTER BUNNY right above your head. The first Boom is at midnight (this is the warning sound that more is to come throughout the night.)Then there is a series of these noises at midnight, 2:35am, 3:10am, 4:07am, and 5:30am all in the same night. That's what I listen to EVERY night. I have an upstairs neighbor, that does not care or either has no common sense about being neighborly. I have talked to the apartment managers and they have talked to the neighbor but she ignores them and continues on with her late night noise sessions. I have spoken to and emailed the building's owner, he has also talked with the neighbor about lease violations with the late noise sessions. Yet the neighbor ignores his words as well and continues on with the late night sessions. I have an amazing son whom is diagnosed with Autism, and although he is on the high functioning end of the Spectrum, he is awaken constantly through the night because of the noise upstairs. I go back to his room with him and talk his head off about school back in my day, funny how it knocks him out each time. Only momentarily because the neighbor then feels that when it's completely quiet again downstairs, that means its her que to start up with the stomping and throwing furniture around at late night/morning hours. Movin' on out to Quiet Side is a need at this time, not a luxury.
