As you may or may not know, our almost 6 year old niece Mallory has Cystic Fibrosis. Each year we typically lead a team for the big CF walk, but this year we decided to mix it up a bit. We're going to participate in the Malibu Adventure Games... in hopes to actively earn donations. It's a weekend of mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing and trail running...even an obstacle course for Kate & Addi.
Currently there is NO cure for CF, however, the FDA just approved a drug that will help about 4% of those living with CF. A drug that was made possible by donations. The science that made this discovery possible is being used (and tested) in another drug that will treat one of the CF mutations that Mallory carries. We need your support now more than ever as the drug pipeline continues to pump with exciting new treatments that are lengthening and easing the lives of those living with CF. We continue to be optimistic that this disease could be cured in Mallory's lifetime. Thank you for any support you may be able to provide to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and all those living with CF.
