You all know someone who has been affected by cancer and that I am constantly setting personal goals, so why not combine the two and raise money for a great cause?? I chose the Tri for the Cure as my inaugural triathalon as it raises money and awareness for a cause that hit close to home several years ago when I lost my Aunt Ann to breast cancer at the age of 64. I am so fortunate to have had wonderful role models in my life and she was one of the strongest influences on me as a young girl. She was hard working, straightforward, funny, caring and had a mischievous side:-) And her cackle! Boy, was that infectious! She was the mom of three boys, so our mutual love of shopping, gourmet food and generally spoiling ourselves brought us closer as I became a young woman. She always said I had moxie - long before I knew what that meant! Now I am channeling my fitness moxie in her memory. Please join me in supporting the Tri for the Cure so that others don't loose their aunts, moms, grandmas, sisters and friends so unnecessarily. Love and thanks to you all!
