About Crossroads - In Taryn's Words
“Crossroads is more than a “program.” It’s a family. MY family. The staff and my peers motivate me to do well in school and inspire me to give back to my community. My Crossroads Family took a shy and angry girl with low self esteem and developed her into a leader who KNOWS her self worth.
Being a part of Crossroads and being surrounded by all of the amazing people involved makes me want to be a better person. Soon I will be heading off to my first year of college and I know that it is because of Crossroads that I am on my way to do amazing things. I am grateful for the person they have helped me to become and all of the opportunities they have and continue to bring me.”
Taryn, Crossroads Class of 2012
How we do it
Crossroads for Kids is a comprehensive 10 year program that helps kids and teens make the right choices for themselves, their futures and their communities. During the school year, our kids are with us at least one weekend a month and then they spend up to 6 weeks with us during the summer at one of our 3 residential summer camps located around Massachusetts.
Crossroads teaches our youth to embody the spirit of the Cornerstone Code
We represent ourselves and our community well.
We hold ourselves to a higher standard.
We show respect for everyone in our community.
We build the future we wish to see.
