BENEFITING: Swamp Dawg Youth Organization
Yesterday, while registering kids for football, I was called outside because they said that Mr. Willie Jiles wanted to talk to me. I knew that he had just had part of his leg amputated a few days prior and was working to learn to live without the use of his limb. Mr. Jiles' words were, "I told them to bring me to you because I wanted to know what our boys are gonna look like this year. If I gotta crawl, I'm coming to see them boys." That touched me.... I asked Mr. Jiles' daughter about his recovery and she revealed that he was going to need a wheelchair and some really expensive medicine along with other things. She said that she'd located a used wheelchair for $350 and a new one would cost about $600. I'm asking all of those who have any connection with me, Mr. Jiles, or his family to please donate something. No amount is too small. Let's help him get the wheelchair that he needs in order to be able to continue to cheer for the kids that he loves so much. Good bless each of you!
