MSPP CARE 2011 via Crowdrise
April 11, 2012
EVENT DATE: Apr 15, 2012
New Orleans and many communities throughout the Gulf Coast are continuing to rebuild and recover from the devastation of the 2005 hurricanes and 2010 oil spill. MSPP CARE (Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology: Communities Assisting Relief Efforts) is a student-interest group with a commitment to community service.
This coming April, 12 members of CARE will be embarking on a service trip down to New Orleans, Louisiana. This group will join ongoing relief efforts, teaming up with charitable organizations and working hand in hand with local residents in physical service projects (i.e. construction of homes, revitalizing parks and neighborhoods, serving people who are homeless, working with the youth and elderly, etc.).
As we get ready for our volunteer mission, it has come time for us to raise money for the cost of our trip. We are reaching out to local businesses and organizations, friends and families for any financial assistance they may be able to provide. All donations will help cover the cost of transport, volunteer-based housing, and will go directly to the organizations with whom we serve. Any contribution to our cause is extremely helpful and greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your support!
