The Music Students' Service League of West Los Angeles (MSSL-WLA) is a group of middle and high school music students who strive to serve our community through musically related activities. For our special event each year, we organize and participate in the Daniel Pearl World Music Days concert in Santa Monica. In addition, we hold a number of recitals and concerts for local senior homes; volunteer at MTAC (Music Teachers Association of California) functions; and raise money to provide musical instruments and opportunities for other children in our community. The Practice-A-Thon marks our biggest fundraising event of the year. We solicit pledges for each hour of music practice from family, friends, neighbors and generour donors to help raise money for the Westside Music Foundation.
