Mudder for BIA, Brain Injury Association of America
Organized by: Gabriealle Marie
EVENT DATE Aug 26, 2017
When I was 17 years old I was driving one foggy morning, and broad sided by a Semco energy Truck! It changed my life forever. I was in a coma for 2 1/2 months, in the hospital for 3. From 8/6/03-6/9/15 I lived in Rehabs, Institutions, and Group Homes. Today I live in Society with a traumatic brain injury, although life isn't always easy I manage to make it one day at a time with the skills I have learned throughout the years of my recovery. I am doing a Half tough mudder to show that full recovery from an accident as tragic as mine is possible, and I have the support of great friends!!! I am also doing it so that I can try and raise some money to help fund the Brain Injury Association of America BIAUSA.org so that research and treatment can continue to help others like me recover when they sustain a TBI. The way one can get a TBI is not only from what I went through but also something as simple as your favorite football player hitting his head, result a concussion. Please consider donating to this cause, because not to many people hear about it or know about it unless a loved one or a friend has gone through it. Thank you again & God Bless!
