People diagnosed with various types of disabilities face challenges every day. The day to day challenges of every day life, the challenge of being treated as equals, to be a part of their community, to have choice in the way they live their lives, to be seen, heard and respected as anyone else would be.
We would like to raise money for this great organization that has been a leader in their field for over 50 years. Our group will be participating in the Tough Mudder Challenge in September of 2016. We will challenge ourselves just as the people we support face challenges every day. Please consider making a contribution to our cause. If not all can run, we run for all!
The Arc of Oswego County is a chapter of NYSARC. “NYSARC’s mission is to advocate for persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in every manner possible. In its advocacy role, NYSARC is committed to a full quality of life for every person, as it recognizes the challenges of the present and has a clear vision for the future.” The Mission of Oswego County Arc is similar: "Our mission is to be a leader in the field of developmental disabilities, committed to meeting the needs of individual growth, productivity, and independence through education, advocacy, and community participation."
