BENEFITING: National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Dear Friends and Family,
I chose raising money for Multiple Sclerosis because my grandmother and her first cousin both have it. My grandma was diagnosed with MS in 1987. It was a very scary time for my mom's family because my grandma had always been saying she would hike the Himalayas when she was ninety, and here she was having a possible future in a wheelchair.
What is MS?
MS or Multiple Sclerosis is a disease where nerve damage disrupts communication through the body. MS can cause many different symptoms including fatigue, vision loss, pain, and impaired coordination. Some people may be symptom free for most of their lives, while others will have symptoms that never go away. MS can't be cured, yet, but hopefully in the future it will be curable.
MS runs in families, so that means that I, my brother and my cousins have a higher chance of getting it than somebody else who doesn't have it in their families. I would like to help raise awareness and raise money so people that have MS can enjoy their lives without symptoms.
Please forward a link to this page to everybody you know in an effort to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis and help me in my effort to find a cure for MS.
