Multiple Sclerosis Research and Treatment Support
Organized by: Columbia Wine Co.
EVENT DATE Oct 24, 2015
Blurred vison. Tremors. Extreme fatigue. Memory and concentration problems. Paralysis. These are but a few out of a long list of symptoms of multiple sclerosis (MS).
With more than 2.3 million people affected worldwide, MS is a devastating disease without a cure. This unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and the body. Support The Columbia University Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Care and Research Center in their quest to provide exemplary patient care and ground-breaking clinical research.
Designated as a Center for Comprehensive MS Care by the National MS Society, The Center is a dynamic organization that offers access to neurological, rehabilitative, and psycho-social services for both adults and pediatric patients (Fact: 5% - 10% of people with MS develop symptoms before age 18). Examples of services include a clinical trial and research program, speech therapy, support groups, psychiatry and psychology referrals, and so much more.
At Columbia Wine Co., it is extremely important to us that we give back to the community in which we are located. We hope that you join us in supporting our neighbors at The Columbia University Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Care and Research Center with their very important work.
