Friends and Associates,
Many of you are aware our friend and longtime Nike employee Dennis Murphy, has been in a fight for his life these past two years with stage 4 esophageal cancer, which years ago tragically took his father at a very young age. Dennis with the help of his amazing wife Kate and children Shane and Jilly, have stayed extremely positive even though treatments, time and care have consumed their daily life's and have challenged them in every possible way. Just like in business, Dennis continues to fight hard with a positive attitude and determination to beat this cancer.
Dennis started his career at Nike 26 years ago and has spent the last 17 years in the licensed apparel group managing his business in the east coast, most recently from his home in West Chester. Although he has been unable to work or travel these past few months, his heart is missing his extended Nike family immensely. When I spoke to him a couple weeks back he expressed how much he wants to be healthy and back at work but as of right now, this is not possible. I know that I speak for all of us, when I tell him, we miss him too!
I ask that you continue to pray for Dennis and his family, think positively and if at all possible, donate some funds to help with his out of pocket costs for the additional care that is needed. Any gift is welcomed and greatly appreciated.
As we say in our licensed family, 1TM1LV forever. MURH STRONG
Thank you so much for your kindness and consideration.
