Cara, our newest little bundle of adorable craziness, came to us from the Eastern Shore - SPCA in Onley, Virginia. For those who don't know the story, Cara was picked up by local animal control with an irreparably damaged leg. The SPCA took her in and raised the money necessary for the amputation of her leg. These amazing people cared for Cara, helped rehabilitate her and gave her a wonderful home and a chance at life that she may not have received otherwise.
Because of the SPCA - Eastern Shore and the generosity of its staff, we've now been given the gift of a sweet new dog for our home.
Now I'd like to return the favor to this amazing organization!
For emergency cases like Cara's, the SPCA maintains a relief fund of sorts, something they call Murphy's Fund. Because of cases like Cara, however, that fund has been depleted in recent months, and they now have three new dogs staying with them who have tested positive for heartworms.
I'd like to help these pups have a chance at a good life like Cara got, but I'd like to ask for your help as well. Please help me raise some money to go towards the Murphy's Fund at the Eastern Shore SPCA.
Every little bit will help, whether it's $10, $25, $50 or more, and you'll really be doing something great to help an organization that has been very dear to our heart for a few years now!
