My manager lost both of her parents to complications associated with HIV/Aids. Her mother recently died in October and we were unaware of the signs that would have prompted us to seek medical attention. Her mom suffered a subdural hematoma which is a complication that can occur in patients with HIV. While we were concerned about her catching a cold or pneumonia or an infection there were other complications that can occur that we are unaware of. As a result of not knowing what to look for her mother developed a slow bleed in her brain because HIV causes the blood vessels in the brain to become very thin and eventually burst. My managers mother passed out on the handi ride bus she was alone and never recovered education and awareness of this disease is needed in our community so that we can prevent unnecessary deaths. Please donate to this campaign so that we can help provide education and awareness to people that are either living with HIV or taking care someone who is living with HIV.
