The MUSICFESTILM concert brings a community together with music.
Proceeds from this event will go directly to benefit (WRAAP) Wilmington’s Residential Adolescent Achievement Place and allow them to create more success stories. This year, more than 135 + at-risk children have participated in The After-School Enrichment Academy Program, and 500 + families benefited from the community outreach programs.
The mission of (WRAAP) Wilmington’s Residential Adolescent Achievement Place is to bridge the educational and social gaps that exist amongst youth, families, and communities. Since inception, WRAAP has responded to community needs particularly after-school program services and outreaches to benefit children and families. WRAAP is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization in New Hanover County. This youth organization has received local and state recognition for impacting the lives of at-risk youth in the community.
The After-School Enrichment Academy Program operates under the umbrella of WRAAP. The “youth” program is designed to provide support and guidance to at-risk children, by involving them in constructive activities that keep them interested and out of trouble during after school hours and summer months. The community outreach program provides physical and emotional support to needy families, by offering free perishable and non-perishable food items on a case-by-case needs basis.
