The Mute Swan non-profit ministry began in 2005 with the idea of helping others to see the world differently. Focusing primarily on God's beauty in places devoid of 'beauty' (suffering, illness in cancer patients, prisons, and poverty) we focus on sharing the beauty in nature, art, relationships and even life's struggles.
Our mission is discovering hope and healing through God's beauty in the world.Fydor Dostoyvesky said, "Beauty will save the world" and we believe it can.
The staff works on a volunteer basis allowing almost 100% of the procceds to go towards outreach projects, with minimal administrial costs.
Our outreach projects include baby baskets for young mothers, prayer cards and Christmas gift baskets for cancer patients, and Mother's Day, Christmas cards and prayer cards for the families of prisoners. The newest project is an expansion of outreach outside the United States to Guatemala, a medical Missions trip.
“I want to help people discover the sacred in ordinary events, even times of trial and loss. God is always present, consoling , healing, and encouraging us through the call of beauty.”
