BENEFITING: FINAL SALUTE
On October 12th, 2014, I competed against 23 of the nation's top military women for the title of Ms. Veteran America. Far from a beauty pageant, this competition highlights "The Woman Beyond the Uniform." The crown entitles the winner a spotlight for advocacy: to lift up over 55,000 female veterans and their children out of the despairing trenches of homelessness. I WON! But the real challenge begins now and belongs to us all: to make a difference for the fastest growing segment of homeless in the US.
Female Veterans. Unacceptable.
As a two time combat veteran, humanitarian, speaker, performer, and public health advocate: I'm excited to share my voice and gifts in the service of this important mission. They are ALL of our sisters and children.
Thank you for partnering with me as we continue to do good in our country and the world! It is my greatest joy and commissioning.... and the answer to The Right Question.
