BENEFITING: FINAL SALUTE
As a veteran of the United States Air Force I have a passion for my Sisters and Brothers in arms! None of them should ever go homeless after serving our country so selflessly. They have given up so much of themselves and their lives for so many years and many of them need just a little bit of help to get back on their feet when they get out of the service. But many people don't realize the that military service members have a very high sense of pride and refuse to ask for help even when they really truly and desperately need it. Final Salute Inc. was founded in 2010 by a woman Veteran and cancer survivor who became aware of the large number of homeless women Veterans in the United States. The mission of Final Salute Inc. is to provide homeless women Veterans with safe and suitable housing and takes three-pronged approach to addressing the issues associated with the homelessness of women Veterans which includes: Awareness, Assistance, Aspiration. Awareness: Brings attention to the American public that homelessness among women Veterans is on the rise and their support is needed immediate. Assistance: Provides housing and supportive services to homeless women Veterans and aids in the prevention of homelessness for at-risk women Veterans. Aspiration: Instills in women Veterans that their situations are temporary and their goals are still achievable. Women Veterans are Strong Independent women who have come so far already and can over come any obstacle and they just need a little reminder of who they are and what they are capable of. I have set a high goal, but I am hoping that I can get my voice out there and that this will make it to everyone that can help in any way possible, and that we can make this a possible goal! These VETERANS and their families need our help and I think this is a reasonable amount to shoot for! I hope that you can help me with this goal in any way possible, even if if sharing the word with others about this wonderful fundraiser! Thank you for taking a look at it!
