Immersing myself into the ETC community has been the definitive character decision in my life. I was fortunate enough to go on the 24-day outdoor adventure course ETC offered in the summer of 2010. My life, at the time, was in a very malleable state as I was not sure what kind of person I was going to become. Was I going to be an outgoing orator or a more reclusive participant? During the course, I had the opportunity to share my life story with the rest of the group. The result is the outgoing person I am today. While telling my life story, I was surprised on how much I was able to open up about my self. This challenge I have undertaken this year will allow me to fundraise for this and other life- changing ETC programs so that those who may not be as economically advantaged can still embark on these amazing journeys.
This year I will be paddling around Alcatraz on a 15 mile paddle-a-thon. I will be accepting donations to support ETC as I prepare to paddle and my goal is to reach $300. If you would like to support me by donating anywhere from 1 to 10 dollars per mile would be much appreciated.
