My Cat's Fight Against Chronic Constipation/Megacolon
Organized by: Matthew Mucci
Our feline Maxwell was given to us by a companion around a year back. He is such a benevolent and adoring feline, everybody who comes to visit cherishes him as well. He is just around 3-4 years of age. We cherish him to such an extent. He has been having an issue with constipation since a year ago 2015, the vet prescribed a laxative called Lactulose Solution (which he hates) , we have been treating him to the best of our ability, doing everything the vet said yet much sadly, this treatment was not helping him. He would cry every time he would go to the litter box, we felt so bad. We took our feline Maxwell to the vet for a subsequent visit on Fri. Aug 5, 2016. We disclosed to the vet about the issue, that regardless he was having issues. She did a X-ray of his belly and it demonstrated that his colon was all blocked up, so they needed to keep him overnight, in the wake of giving him two bowel purges despite everything he was not ready to exhaust what was obstructed. He has been determined to have megacolon which is a lifetime condition. He should stay in the doctor's facility until he can exhaust out. So far his bill is $600.00 and will increment. We need monetary help, with the goal that he can be allowed to carry on with an ordinary life. Any donation amount is not too small. It would mean so much to us to be able to bring him home, happy and healthy. Maxwell is not just our cat, but he is also a part of our family. We are thankful to everyone in advanced who is able to help us, and to those who have already helped us. You know who you are.
