My name Is De Mario Green. I'm from Annapolis, MD and I'm 29 years old. My accident occurred on May 12, 2012, at 11 p.m. At that time I was living in Daytona Beach, Florida. I was a motorcycle tech and working for J&P cycles working in the parts. I was coming over a bridge from the beach side on International with two other friends of mine. My light was Green as I went under. It turned yellow so a car stepped out and I was t-boned. I don't really remember much else because I suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other injuries like a broken left arm, missing index finger on my left hand, left tibia and left fibila with plates. I was also left with a long rod in my left leg with serious rode rash on my left foot due to wearing Chuck Taylor shoes. My left arm came out of my socket. I had got a brachial plexus injury which is the main nerve that controls your whole arm. I had got a nerve reconstruction done and some parts move not the whole arm though after 3 years. I fractured my c2, c7 and t1 of my spine with two broken ribs and a collapsed right lung with a puncture hole in it from my rib. For a week I was in a comma. After that I was in a wheelchair for a year in a half. I progressed from walking with a cane to on my own now. I take life a little different now. I lost a lot of things in my life including my job, riding and all the fun I use to have. Hopefully I will ride again one day. If not maybe a automatic Polaris slingshot might be my second chance. Maybe a customized brace and move my clutch to the gas side, but who knows. *It is now 2017, and I'm ready to get back to what I love. Riding!! I just need your help. Anything helps. Thank you in advance.
