My friend Cody Hall
Organized by: Patty Sabon
Update... Cody has been out for almost two weeks now, but is right back in the trenches. He is now incurring legal bills and is refusing to take money from the Red warrior Camp fund for his own representation. His passion for this fight has not been hindered except by the fact that his vehicle is on its last leg. He has had the Pathfinder since I believe late 90s. It has served him well in all of his endeavors but it is time for him to have something newer and more reliable. So many miles were put on his truck to help others and to provide aid and support to friends, family and even complete strangers, over the years. In the almost exactly two years since we met we have spent many hours together both in person and on the phone. I have had a front row seat to his absolute commitment to always be available in times of injustice, hardship and need when it comes to his people, the Lakota, Nakota and Dakota.
Cody’s family know all too well how much he has sacrificed of himself to always be the one to help others and they too are asking for your help and support. I am asking my friends and Cody’s friends to please help his family and I do something for him. Anything you can give would be so greatly appreciated. Help me help him put some new wheels under him as he continues to fight and work for the people he loves so much and to offset his legal costs defending the water and Mother Earth.
Cody Hall is my friend. As I sit here writing this, he sits in jail. Yesterday, he was arrested, as others have been, defending Mother Earth, the water and his people who he loves so dearly. "Cody is my friend" I am so honored, humbled and in awe to be able to these words. "Cody is our friend" (I know because I see you all on his Facebook page). I am reaching out to all of you to say"please help our friend" As a direct result of being arrested, Cody's truck is probably impounded and I know he does not have extra funds to get it out, and who knows what may happen to it in law enforcement possession. I have had the privilege of getting to know Cody really well. I have seen him give and sacrifice everything for the wellbeing of others. Now Ian asking all of you to please do the same for him. If each of you who calls him friend could find it in your hearts to donate just $10, this could go a long way to help someone who I know deserves only good. Sending love to everyone and anyone who is blessed enough to call Cody Hall a friend.
