When my mom was 24 years old she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Over the past years she has suffered a lot of pain throughout her life. 2 years ago, a doctor told her to start the Humira shot. So she did, she wanted to fill good and be able to play with her new granddaughter and enjoy life. Little did she know it would cause her a great deal of pain and suffering in a year or so. She has now developed a very bad infection in her left knee, which she has a full knee replacement 4 years ago. The infection formed in that knee and went throughout her blood stream. She was very sick, did not want to do anything. 2 weeks ago she had to have emergency surgery on her knee to remove all the metal out because that is where the infection started. She has been in the rehabilitation hospital in Shawnee ok, for going on 3 weeks now. I can no express how hard it is not being able to see her daily because of us using gas, my dad working 55 plus hours a week. Today the case manager told her that if she can come up with $720.00 by Tuesday October 11, 2016 she can go home along with her antibiotics and her pic Lin (IV) and her insurance will pay for the rest. If she can't she will have to go to a nursing home until November 1, 2016 or longer. All we need is a little help with money. My dad takes care of bills, rent and other necessary items. We have never done this before, asking for money it's not our thing. But we really want her home, so I can take care of her. We will have so many medical bill since she is responsible for 20% off everything and those bills have yet to come. Anything helps. Thank you so much. -April Deaver
