My optimistic future for life.
Organized by: Mary Macaluso
My story began 40 years ago, give or take a few years and that story is the history of addiction. I used and drank continually until December of 2015 when my life became unmanageable. I was taken to jail then God intervened in my life and gave me a second chance to start all over. I entered a treatment center 8 days later and continued treatment in a 120 day program following the guidelines of the 12 step program of alcoholics anonymous. I attended all required classes plus at least 100 meetings within that 120 day program without any relapse. But now it is time for me to move on with my life and to share what I have learned with someone else who is going through some of the same struggles I faced in my own addiction. Now I see life as a beautiful thing without limitations, without rose colored glasses, and a close relationship with God on an every day basis. My dilemma now that I'm facing is financial help to get back up on my own feet to press on in life, to do the right thing, to finish my education, and this is where I need some help. My family supports me in my efforts, but I'm too proud to ask them for financial aid. So please ask your heart if this is something you may be passionate about, God bless you for blessing me. Thank-you.
