My unexpected delivery
Organized by: Deanna Bass
Hello. My name is Deavannah Grace Bass. I was born on August 6, 2016 at 24 week gestation. My little 1 pounds 8 ounce tiny body has been in the neonatal intensive care unit since my emercency entrance into this world. I have endured many health issues since my untimely birth. At day 3 of my life my intestines developed a tear and a drain tube was inserted into by belly next to my umbilical cord. The next day the doctors came to my mommy and told her they were gonna have to perform a colostmy so my intestines could heal. Two weeks later I became very sick and was diagnosed with a yeast infection in my blood. That sure was not good on my little not supposed to be in this world yet body. My mother has not left my side. Yes there have been several ocassions she's had to run home a few hours to handle some personal business and every time she has i've seem to take a turn for the worse. Please help my mommy be able to stay with me and help get me well enough to come home and take care of me. I am currently 10 weeks old and am doing better. I am 3pounds 4 ounces. when I reach 4 pounds 6 ounces the doctors might correct my colostmy. So we still have a long road ahead of us. In light of the situation all donations would allow my mother to continue to be a huge part of my recovery. The medical staff says that it is important for the little babies to have the mom present. It's good for the baby.
