Mya's Memorial and Pitbull Rescue
Organized by: Jennifer Mcclements
Tomorrow there is a Pitbull Adoption Day in Lasalle. Rescue fees are anywhere between 250-500$. Organizations pay for all and every medical bill needed to get a pup started on the right paw for their furever home. They are neutered, microchipped, are up-to-date on shots, etc... As you can imagine, this week has been a very pricey one. The cost of tests and visits, and even the incredible cost of Mya's last day and her cremation are a weight I cannot handle alone. If I want to be able to give the empty space in my home for another pup in need, I will need help. I contemplated this but realize time is not on these puppies' side and I feel as though if Mya could have a say in it, she would want me to do this. My fundraising will be to pay for : the adoption fees to give a pitbull a new forever home, to pay back what I owe for this week's bills and the ones I'll have for cremation, and the rest of the funds will go directly and entirely to IAmAlive.Org, the non-profit organization who so selflessly save animals lives, which happens to be the one Mya came to me from. I contemplated doing this fundraiser, as I know owning a pet should be the sole responsibility of the owner. However, I was made to realize, that if I had the means, I would want to help any animal I could. The goal is at 2000$ so that the rescue and Mya's bills can be paid, and so that there is no small cap to what can be donated to IAmAlive. You have my word that the funds collected will go entirely towards this and only this, and that IAmAlive is an organization I trust and know. They will use 100% of the proceeds to help animals.
