MY BIG BROTHERS SECOND CHANCE
Organized by: Tony Borrico
This fund is being set up to attempt to give my brother the second chance in life he deserves. My brothers name is Patrick, he is now 55 years old. This is a person who not only put himself through 12 years of higher education, to receive his CPA degree but he drove an hour each way, everyday, because our family could not afford room and board. My brothers troubles began a little over 5 years ago. He was a senior auditor for one of the largest accounting firms in Chicago. After the fall of Arthur Andersen this firm aggressively sought to gain as many accounts, from Arthur Andersen, as they could. After acquiring many of those accounts my brother was sent in to audit their books and past accounting practices. He subsequently found many irregularities, which helped with the downfall of Arthur Andersen. He brought these irregularities, to the powers that be, and was told in no uncertain terms to be "a team player". I have known my brother his entire life and the two things he will not compromise on is his honesty and integrity. Because of these beliefs, I have had to watch my brother go from a very successful CPA to a person who was forced to resign, blackballed and his life ruined to the point where he is now homeless. All because he would not be dishonest and be "a team player". I help him all I can but I am on total disability and our father passed away and mother can barely survive herself. What all donations will be used for will be for relocation expenses, housing, food, clothing and the ability for him to start his life over, far away from the politics that have haunted him for what seems like an eternity now. I thank you for reading this and if you feel compelled to help, thank you so very much.
