My Black Lab needs ACL surgery
Organized by: Kelsey Leary
Hello everyone. My name is Kelsey Leary and my dog Crosby has a torn ACL. We were told by his vet that he needs a specialist to go in and repair the ACL in his rear right leg which will cost about 4,000 dollars. If we do not get it soon, it will develop into Arthritis and be very painful for him and he is also favoring this other leg since the leg that has the torn ligament is raised and he is not putting any weight on it. If he continues to do this and favor the leg that is not injured, he will tear the other ligament and he will need to get surgery on the other leg. My black lab Crosby is 4 years old and all he lives for is to be an active dog outside chasing the tennis ball. Right now he is on a sedative and can only be taken outside on a lease to go the bathroom. No playing, no walks or anything. He is completely not himself because he is depressed that he cannot play or get any type of exercise. Please help my family and I make this surgery possible. This dog is my families life and it pains us everyday to see him only using three legs. My family and I are really trying to make this surgery possible and any donation no matter how small will put us closer to saving our dog from a life full of pain and suffering as he is stuck inside the house not being able to be a normal black lab who just wants to play and be active. Anything will be greatly appreciated and put us one step closer to saving our dog Crosby.
