BENEFITING: MY BRIGHTER TOMORROW INC
EVENT DATE: Jan 18, 2015
I have decided to bring together my two loves of working with special needs kids and running! On January 18, 2015, I will be running the Star Wars Half Marathon on behalf of the charity My Brighter Tomorrow.
I have also pledged to raise $400 for My Brighter Tomorrow. I will be raising awareness of the needs for specialized therapies and equipment for children and their families which insurance companies are unwilling to cover. When I talked to the fundraising coordinator she told me a wonderful story about how they were able to help purchase a service dog for a child who was legally blind! That and a few other stories pulled me into support there cause.
Please consider donating any amount you are able or if you are unable to donate at this time come out to cheer me on at the half-marathon in January! I will need some encouragment along the 13.1 miles! :) You can also donate by contacting me directly. If you choose to donate through crowdrise.com please be aware they take a small percentage out of your donation for a transaction fee.
Thanks for your time and support for this wonderful cause!
