My Brother's Ears

After finally going to the doctor's office to check out his hearing, my brother found out that he had substantial hearing loss in both of his ears. His doctor was surprised to find out that my brother was able to speak normally--he was even more surprised to find out that my brother had unintentionally taught himself to read lips, which is how he had managed to uphold conversations with others. As they were going through the hearing tests, my brother was doing fine, but as soon as the doctor covered his mouth while speaking, my brother couldn't follow.

Learning that you're going to need hearing aids in your 30's is hard. Learning that they cost $2,500 apiece is harder. I want to help my brother by raising some or all of the $5,000 needed to purchase two hearing aides. It's difficult to get assistance for hearing aids because he's no longer a child and is under 55. Please donate and help my brother hear hear his favorite music without cranking up the volume, answer his wife when she asks him a question and have a conversation without reading lips.
