In the 1980's I had the privilege of working with Louis Mychael Marilyn-Buelna as he worked diligently on behalf of local food banks. Mychael organized, promoted and managed benefit concerts using local venues. Mychael was instrumental in helping local bands gain experience and exposure, while simultaneously helping out the hungry in both Phoenix, Arizona and Los Angeles, California. Working with him was not only a wonderful learning experience filled with fun and excitement, but it was also a great joy to know someone with such a huge heart.
We recently learned that Mychael passed away on December 29, 2010, alone and destitute. He is buried in a cemetary for the indigent in the Phoenix area.
Mychael lived a life of giving. We want to remember him by continuing his work for the hungry in his home town of Phoenix, Arizona. This project benefits the United Food Bank. The United Food Bank is a centralized facility that supports smaller food banks throughout the area.
