Fundraiser is almost over!

My father has been teaching China's national martial art called Wu Shu for 35 years in NYC. He has been teaching inner city youth since 2002 and helping to make a difference in their lives. He started a youth program for my brother and me. We were both quiet and reserved kids. He is a leader and wanted us to be the same. Since I was 5 I have been training under him and now I am 20 and will soon finish my third year of College. Excelling in everything I do, I now want to do something for him. He was a category 1 cyclist in the 80's and has won many championship titles. He competed in the Gran Fondo NY on May 17th 2014. At the age of 50 he completed the 167km race in 5 hours and 18 minutes. I believe my dad has many more years to compete. My father suffered a broken spine in 1978 and has been told to stop competing and teaching or he will risk being paralyzed but that has never stopped him. Thirty seven years later, he works out 6 days a week and stays disciplined. No matter how tired or what pain he may encounter he never makes excuses to face responsibilities and obligations to his family or those who depend on him. In my lifetime I have seen very very few people come back to the man who has done so much for them. He says "We are not responsible for the way people are but if we close our hearts because many turn away then one day we may close the door on someone whom was meant to enter our lives". One thing I know is I can depend on my father always. He taught me that honoring his word no matter what, is what people most admire about him. The funds I am raising are to get him a carbon wheelset.
Thank you for your time in reading this I am very close to completing this endeavor.
