BENEFITING: FRIENDS OF CSWCT
Dear Friends, Help to support a needed facility in Uganda, Africa:
The Myende Hygiene Project.
In early June, I will be traveling to Uganda with a group of twelve people who plan to do some volunteer work. The organizer of the trip is a friend, Dr. Nancy Merrick, who worked with Jane Goodall some years ago and has maintained a relationship with Jane and Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. One of the projects we will work on is helping with installation and training for a "biodigester toilet" facility at the community of Myende, on Koome Island in Lake Victoria. The community does not currently have contained sewage treatment. This has kept a recently completed health center from opening, and the community really needs the health center. We would like to raise $2500 to complete our fundraising for materials, installation and training for the "biodigester toilet" - as well as to make other hygiene improvements, particularly improvements important to Myende School. If you are interested in supporting this effort, please donate to the CrowdRise Fund. The donations will be directed to 'Friends of CSWCT’ (Friends of Chimps) and designated for the "Myende Hygiene Project". CrowdRise will send a letter of acknowledgment for any donation documenting it as tax-deductible.
