Chantele Olmstead's Fundraiser:

My Future NYC Marathon

THE STORY:

I was supposed to run the 2012 NYC Marathon. Though the race is still being held, nothing feels right about running it when there are so many who are still in such great need. Initially, I had planned to run it to support the city and affected areas, but I have since determined that I can run a different marathon this weekend (Manchester, NH) while raising money for those affected by Sandy instead. This way, I can still run, but without drawing from resources that could be helping those who live in the affected areas.

Update: The marathon has been canceled!

I totally respect your decision in postponing your NYC marathon participation. This is a great way to give back with so many people in the NY region in need of assistance right now! 5 years ago
