BENEFITING: MYFIFIDENT FOUNDATION
The number of US golfers age 6 to 17 has declined from 4M to 2.5M since 2005, a 38% drop. The decline of junior golf is due, in large part, to the perception that golf is too difficult, expensive and time intensive. Yet, the game of golf universally builds character, instills values, and promotes healthy choices in youth.
The Game of Golf Institute (GOGI), www.mygogi.org is a charitable and educational initiative under Myfifident Foundation, a 501(c)(3), non-profit. Our mission is to grow youth golf participation and make the game of golf more accessible, teach key life skills and encourage healthy lifestyles.
To achieve our mission, we provide innovative golf instruction, educational programs and game improvement applications free of charge using social networking and mobile application technologies. These technologies are accessible globally and help youth golfers improve faster, connect with one another and share their experiences. We also provide free access to youth golf instructors and programs.
We launched Jan. 2013 and have a goal to achieve 100K registered golfers globally by the end of the year. Through technology, we can significantly impact more youth and families who otherwise would not be exposed to the teachings and values of golf.
With your support, we can continue our momentum advancing the growth and effectiveness of youth golf. We are seeking financial assistance to expand our free solutions and enhance our users’ experience. Your contribution is tax deductible and provides a tangible legacy for current and future GOGI participants.
Here is how your funding will be applied:
• Enhance our Learning Center library of 140 golf instructional videos
• Social sharing tools allowing youth golfers to share scorecards, photos and videos electronically with friends and golf instructors
• Add the ability to input mobile and website scorecards for Canadian and European golf courses
• Add advanced swing analysis tools to record, share and analyze golf swings online
